Where's my India ?

- This India trip, i realised India has changed

Maybe for the bad or for the good...but the change was huge

But somethings never change...And that make India so beautiful

Read on to know what it is :)

Its 2 years since the previous trip to my place

filled with nostalgia and hoped to see some familiar face

Made my mind to visit India during the holidays of new years

And looked fwd to a wonderful trip, full of joys and tears

Hoped to enjoy the memorable India, we love in our hearts

Landed at the new airport, which was huge and puzzling

But couldnt head out fast, with the customs check everlasting

Grabbed a coffee at the airport coffee day, and was in for a shock

The coffee was small as tonic dose, but pricey as a tequilla shot

Wheres the memorable India, we love in our hearts ?

Stopped by my dear restaurant, to eat masala dosa aplenty

Suprised to see it delivered, on a plastic plate for rupees twenty

The chutney came in a small cup and water in a disposible

The food tasted great,but discontent in my heart was inconsolable

The theatres were empty, but the malls kept growing

Local bakery had shuttered, but pizza joints overflowing

Buses had remote doors and none dangled on its steps

Local shops were broke,as supermarkets seemed well kept

Thai food in office canteen and mexican eateries on the road

Girls wearing shorts n skirts, really pretty to have you floored

Traffic seeming endless, and pollution always acendent

Roads full of cars and exotic models highly dominant

Wheres the memorable India, we love in our hearts ?

Spent 2 wonderful weeks at my house, with my dear parents

World might have changed, but peace at home is always apparent

My senses seemed rekindled by the home food and the love around

Friends and family flocked to visit, and in their joys i drowned

Finally when it was time to go, life seemed to be so cruel

But a peep into my conscience, found the answer to my mind's duel

In our home lies the memorable India, unchanged and beautiful, that we love in our hearts !!!
